Alys develops and manages marketing strategies and provides oversight and guidance for social media campaigns for a variety of clients. She also manages Eyes on Germantown, a micro-blog focused on Germantown, TN.
She and her husband reside in Germantown with their two daughters. Michael is founder, chairman and CEO of masterIT, a Memphis, TN technology company that is the market leader delivering technology-as-a-service to small and medium businesses. They are members of Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis. Aden is a student at the University of Memphis studying organizational leadership with an expected graduation in December 2018. Yates is a rising junior at Houston High School and is employed at Huey’s Restaurant in Germantown.
An involved, dedicated lifelong member of the Memphis community and a 20+ year resident of Germantown, Alys has worked for Uhlhorn for State Representative, Morgan Keegan, Christ United Methodist Church, Crichton College, the Salvation Army, Howell Marketing Strategies and masterIT. She also serves as membership chairman and as a circle leader for the United Methodist Women at Christ United Methodist Church as the worship chair for the church which oversees seven services each weekend.
Alys has served as the president of many professional and non-profit boards, including such diverse groups as the Memphis chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators and the Germantown United Methodist Church’s United Methodist Women. In her 20+ years experience working with businesses and non-profits, she is known for her ability to understand the big picture yet maintain a firm grasp on ensuring the details are handled to make the big picture happen.
She is a graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. with a B.A. in History.
